We Talkin' 'Bout Practice T-Shirt
Arguably the king of sports rants is Allen Iverson’s “practice” masterpiece from May 7, 2002. After going down in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, the 76ers' star was criticized by coach Larry Brown for repeatedly missing practice. To Iverson’s disgust, the media questioned his commitment and he went off on an unforgettable rant that includes the word “practice” more than 20 times. A part of Iverson’s famous tirade:
"If I can't practice, I can't practice, man. If I’m hurt, I’m hurt. I mean, simple as that. It ain't about that. It’s not about that at all. You know what I’m saying? I mean, but it's easy to talk about, it’s easy to sum it up when you just talk about practice. We're sitting in here, I'm supposed to be the franchise player, and we're in here talking about practice. I mean listen, we're talking about practice! Not a game, not a game, not a game, we're talking about practice. Not a game. Not the game that I go out there and die for and play every game like it's my last, not the game, we're talking about practice, man. I mean, how silly is that? We’re talking about practice!”
