After getting blown out by the Lakers 137-104 in Game 3 of the 1984 NBA Finals, Boston's Larry Bird told the media that his team played like "a bunch of sissies." This apparently motivated his teammates, as the Celtics had a comeback victory in Game 4. When asked if he thought the team played any better that night, Bird replied, "Yeah, we just played like a bunch of women tonight."
