Family to Feed T-Shirt
When the Minnesota Timberwolves offered Latrell Sprewell a contract extension in October 2004, Sprewell said he was "insulted" by the three-year, $21 million extension. He famously exclaimed, "I've got my family to feed. If (GM) Glen Taylor wants to see my family fed, he better cough up some money. Otherwise, you're going to see these kids in one of those Sally Struthers commercials soon." Sprewell's then-current contract paid him over $14 million a year, and he made over $96 million in his career.
