When Bobby Knight’s legendary coaching career at Indiana came to an end, it was no surprise that he went out with a bang. After being asked to resign following a confrontation with a student, he said goodbye in a famous speech on September 11, 2000 that ended in typical Knight fashion: “When my time on Earth is gone, and my activities here are past, I want them to bury me upside down and my critics can kiss my ass.”
